Teamwork and Philosophy

Unlike a common misconception, philosophers are not all lonely thinkers, locked up in their study room, engaging solely with their own mind. A lot of modern philosophy is done in teams and requires global networks of specialists. Analytic philosophy, with its commitment to the objectivity of philosophical problems and its demand for shared standards of clarity and a common methodology, is particularly well-suited for team work. Without a good team it is almost impossible to do good philosophy, in any case: it would be a lot less fun.
